• This is a contingent position based upon contract award
• What You'll Do
• In the role of
• General Practitioner
• , your duties will include :
• Provides medical services comparable to such services and coverage as provided by the USG Facility Medical Officer (FMO) during clinic hours of operation and "after hours" coverage, as necessary.
• Obtain health history and perform physical examinations.
• Diagnose and direct counseling for each patient on a plan for treatment.
• Prescribe medication in accordance with state statute and professional practice guidelines.
• Maintains a problem-oriented health record for each patient seen in accordance with established Health Information Management policies and procedures.
• Assures continuity of care by providing comprehensive medical services on a timely basis.
• Provides excellent internal / external customer service to assist patients with their health care needs.
• Arrange referrals for patients requiring services not offered on-site.
• Review incoming reports (e.g. lab, x-ray, EKG) sign, date and follow-up in a timely manner.
• Assist in updating protocols and principles of practice as requested.
• Assist in outside medical public relations functions.
• Requirements :
• Must be a US or Australian citizen
• Must possess a license to practice with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPR).
• Must have a minimum of five years of experience as a general practice physicianThis role will be located in Alice Springs, at a 4,400-acre facility with approximately 687,000 square feet of mission and support space.
• This position is expected to be onsite 100%.
