Health, Safety and Environmental Manager (Main Contractor / Social Housing New Build) | Permanent | Norfolk

Salary : £50,000 - £60,000 + car allowance / package

A leading Regional Main Contractor that builds, refurbishes, and regenerates homes and communities across the UK has an excellent opportunity for a Health, Safety and Environmental Manager to join them on a permanent basis.

They are looking for a Health, Safety and Environmental Manager to join them, who will be responsible for advising on regional operational compliance of all relevant health, safety, and environmental legislation and best practices. Additionally, the HSE Manager will be responsible for ensuring that current procedures within the region comply with relevant policy and legislation, assisting with the production and review of project-particular documentation.

The role includes :

• Actively engaging with all levels of management at all stages of the construction process
• Promoting a culture where safety, health, and environmental considerations are integrated into everyday processes
• Carrying out and analyzing inspections and audits at the region's operational sites
• Assessing the competence of contractors who work for the region
• Evaluating essential risk assessments and method statements in association with operations staff
• Liaising with enforcing authorities as required
• Being a proactive member of the national Health and Safety team and supporting and developing the national OHSAS 18001 safety management system
