Job descriptionCurrent AHPRA registration (with no restrictions). Fellowship with RACGP or ACRRM, or currently working towards it. Must be able to work as a General Practitioner without supervision. An interest in aged care or geriatric medicine. Strong communication and decision-making skills. A collaborative approach to working with care teams. Work-life balance with no late nights or weekend work. Deepen your clinical relationships with patients and their families. Step away from transactional medicine into something more sustainable. Enjoy working in one of Australia’s most sought-after coastal locations. $250 per hour for candidates with fellowship. $220 per hour for GPs in the fellowship process. 2 days per week available in Umina Beach, and 2 days in Gosford – choose the days that suit you. Support of a dedicated RN on all clinical rounds. A relaxed, organised work environment with consistent patient load. The chance to truly impact aged care in a progressive model of care.

Base pay range
A$220.00 / hr - A$250.00 / hr
A$250 p / h working in residential aged care in Umina Beach and Gosford. Up to 4 days per week are available – choose your own days!
The Role
Based in residential aged care facilities across Umina Beach and Gosford, this role offers an opportunity to practice medicine in a calm, patient-focused environment. You’ll work within a close-knit clinical team that includes :
- A Registered Nurse to support you during rounds.
- A consulting Geriatrician for complex case input.
- A proactive admin team that handles scheduling and paperwork.
- An after hours team to support you so when you finish work for the day, you can really finish work!
Your day will include regular resident reviews, collaborative care planning, and a mix of acute and chronic care management. This is a unique setting that allows GPs to focus on quality over quantity, with no pressure to push through high volumes.
