Development Manager

Overview

Location : Sydney (Ultimo). Work type : Contract Full Time. Job no : 505023. Categories : Production / Content, Projects, Strategy & Planning, Commissioning / Content Development. Salary : Commensurate with experience. Contract length : approximately 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of content for children’s audiences for ABC’s Children & Family Commissioning team.
• Assess the suitability and viability of solicited and unsolicited program proposals; provide analysis and clear communications to support decision‑making.
• Work with the Content Coordinator to manage the external submissions portal and input information in Children & Family databases.
• Facilitate assessment workflow and chair regular submissions meetings.
• Collaborate across teams to shape future children’s content, including partnerships with independent producers.
