The service aims to connect people to appropriate longer-term support to address underlying issues and provide short-term emergency material aid.As the Client Engagement Worker, you will assist clients who present in crisis. Your role is to listen to the client, determine what their needs are, and what assistance is most appropriate. You will ensure the client is supported to address their immediate crisis and is connected with the most appropriate resources to find longer-term solutions.Please view the Position Description for further information on the duties and responsibilities of the role.This is an ideal opportunity if you are currently unemployed and / or returning from a career break!Desired Skills and ExperienceYou will : Be self-motivated, enthusiastic and a team player.Have empathy and good communication skills.Have problem-solving skills.Collaborate with local services to achieve better outcomes for people.It is essential for you to have : Current Australian Drivers Licence.Relevant experience, in a paid or voluntary capacity.Certificate IV (or above) in a Human Services related discipline or be prepared to complete relevant study within two (2) years of commencement of duties.A tertiary qualification in a Human Services related field e.g. Social Work will be highly regarded.
