About Our Team

Our Community Paediatric Physiotherapists play a vital role within our Multidisciplinary Allied Health Team, as part of the Children, Young People and Families Service. This service provides high-quality care to children and young people aged 0–18 years living across the Lower Mid North Coast.

Working collaboratively with Paediatricians and hospital-based Physiotherapy services, the team delivers comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and intervention to support the developmental and functional needs of young clients. Services are provided across the region, with your primary base located in Taree.

What You'll Be Doing

The Level 3 Paediatric Physiotherapist will deliver and maintain a high standard of physiotherapy services through effective assessment, diagnosis, and management of children and young people aged 0–18 years across the Lower Mid North Coast. The primary caseload focuses on infants and children aged 0–5 years experiencing physical or developmental challenges, in line with the service’s eligibility criteria.

Our team is committed to providing exceptional, family-centred care to children and their families. In this role, you will be supported by experienced senior clinicians and a dynamic multidisciplinary team dedicated to collaboration and professional excellence. The successful applicant will receive comprehensive orientation and ongoing training, with access to regular clinical supervision, professional development opportunities, and mandatory education support to ensure continued growth and confidence in practice.

An Insight into the Lower Mid North Coast

Based in the stunning Lower Mid North Coast of New South Wales, you’ll have rivers, beaches, and rainforests right on your doorstep. The twin towns of Forster and Taree, nestled within the beautiful Barrington Coast region, offer an enviable lifestyle surrounded by white sandy beaches, sparkling blue lakes, and lush green hinterland.

Just three hours from Sydney and two hours from Newcastle, the region combines the charm of a coastal escape with the convenience of modern living — featuring affordable housing, excellent education options, and a relaxed, family-friendly community.

The area is a haven for water and outdoor enthusiasts, offering endless opportunities for swimming, surfing, kayaking, fishing, scuba diving, and dolphin or whale watching cruises. For those who prefer to stay on land, explore the scenic Booti Booti National Park, take in the panoramic views from Cape Hawke, or enjoy local markets, boutique shopping, and vibrant dining experiences.
