About the opportunity
Westgold Resources is seeking a dedicated and people-driven People Advisor to provide quality advisory support through generalist HR activities to business units. The role acts as the primary contact for employees with people queries or issues.
Reporting to the People Superintendent, this newly created position will be offered on a permanent 8 days on, 6 days off roster and based at Westgold’s Cue Gold Operations in the Murchison region.
The role includes
- Supporting understanding and application of people processes, including performance management, employee engagement, learning development, and coaching.
- Facilitating employee relations matters, including investigations, disciplinary outcomes, and actions.
- Reviewing and revising HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local regulations and address current and future business needs.
- Delivering cyclical people-related activities and initiatives, including market and performance-based remuneration reviews, salary reviews, and providing recommendations aligned with internal strategy.
- Collaborating with the broader team to ensure alignment with corporate and divisional HR practices and priorities.
- Interpreting and advising on relevant Awards, Industrial Agreements, legislation, policies, and procedures.
- Ensuring activity related to IR / ER management is accurately documented and tracked for reporting and analytics.
- Supporting the Injury Management Coordinator with Workers Compensation claims, non-work-related illness and injury, redeployment, fitness for work, and return-to-work activities.
- Engaging in continuous improvement by identifying opportunities, researching solutions, and implementing changes.
What do I need?
Degree qualifications in Human Resources, employment relations, organizational development, or business.At least 2 years' experience in a HR role (preferably in mining / resources).Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, across all levels.Ability to coach and educate leaders and employees on employment legislation and related observations.Good knowledge of employment and industrial relations legislation and regulations.The Westgold Offer
