The Training Coordinator will be site-based on a 5 / 2 4 / 3 roster, offering local hire or FIFO options. Reporting to the Training Superintendent, you will provide support to ensure the Rail Operations Train Driver Program is delivered and evidence is recorded in accordance with AQTF, RTO and Regulator standards and procedures.
- You will
- Work with Rail Academy Superintendent, Specialist and Supervisors to help ensure systems are set up to meet all legal, corporate and operational requirements
- Support trainers / assessors to record and manage all training documentation and records to ensure compliance
- Monitor student performance against their learning plans and ensure all records are managed and reflected in LMS and other training / time tracking systems
- Assist in monitoring and managing claims for Govt Incentives for employment and enrolment of students
- Reporting and analytics on the Rail Operations Driver Training Program and student progress towards completion of Cert IV Training
- Assist with rostering of trainers / assessors, Ops CDOs and students to ensure training can be delivered and assessments conducted according to the plan
- Conduct quality in-field safety leadership activities to verify safe working and training conditions for self, peers and students
- Maintain and upload student training documents adhering to RTO, AQTF and BHP compliance standards and procedures.
- About you
- You will be an experienced Training Coordinator able to demonstrate
- Computer literacy and proficiency in working with BHP and / or VET training systems
- Proficiency in utilising learning technology
- Understanding of and alignment on Code / Spectrum of Conduct, Diversity Objectives, Respectful Behaviours and BHP Values (Cultural Fit)
- VET training understanding and quality controls associated with training and assessment under the Australian Quality Training Framework
- Ability to work effectively under pressure
- Solutions-focused approach to solving logistics planning and contingencies
- Proven organisational skills within a training environment and the ability to work autonomously;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively coach others in improvement and upskilling.
