We are currently recruiting for an Specialist Process Control Standards& Governancewho will report directly into theDirector Process Control and Operational Intelligence. This role is being offered from any of our Australian hubs in Perth, Melbourne or Brisbane.
As the Specialist Process Control Standards& Governance you willoversee the identification, design and governance of process control optimization solutions across all Newmont sites, ensuring compliance with global standards and replication of best practices in engineering, design, and deployment. The role is a point of technical escalation for process control strategy design, tuning and technical issues, providing critical oversight and guidance to process control engineers, supporting complex project development, coaching and mentoring, and ensuring optimal performance of process control solutions across Newmont's global operations.
Ideally you will have a Bachelor's degree or higher in fields such as Process Control, Mechatronics, Metallurgy, or Chemical Engineering, along with a working background in Process Control Engineering or Processing Optimization. Ayou will hold advanced competency in optimizing processing plants, including site-based roles, and demonstrate a solid understanding of best practices in control and optimization theory. You will enjoy mentoring technical teams and have experience in multiple regions or global roles, particularly in Africa, North America, or South America. Proficiency in using analytical tools like Plant Historians and Excel to evaluate process and automation performance will be highly regarded.
