About the role

Policy Officer

Canberra / Hybrid working arrangements
Full-time or Part-time (min 30 hours per week)
Classification : SCHADS (level and remuneration dependent on experience)

We are looking for a Policy Officer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to support the national peak body for volunteering's policy development and advocacy work across a range of policy areas.

Join us in our vision to make volunteering the heart of Australian communities.

As a key member of Volunteering Australia's Policy Team, you'll lead and deliver impactful policy and advocacy projects. This role involves high-quality research, policy development, stakeholder engagement, and representing the organisation at a national level.

What you will bring :

Demonstrated capability in policy development and advocacy work.

Demonstrated stakeholder engagement skills.

Strong analytical, conceptual, and critical thinking skills.

Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.

Demonstrated capacity to undertake research including data analysis.

In addition to this, you will have :

High level organisational and project management skills.

The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
