ABOUT THE ROLE : Location : Sydney CBDWe're seeking a dedicated Security Manager to lead a team of Security Officers at one of our key sites. This leadership role is fully accountable for the day-to-day operations, performance, and site standards, serving as the crucial link between the team and State Operations Management.
You'll ensure all administrative and compliance requirements—such as duty records, training matrices, and reporting—are consistently met to a high standard. As the first point of contact in the management chain, you will lead by example, fostering a culture of professionalism, safety, and service excellence.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES : Leadership Lead and supervise a team of Security OfficersSet clear expectations and provide regular performance feedbackSupport recruitment, onboarding, and staff developmentConduct toolbox talks and performance reviewsPromote a safe, inclusive, and positive team cultureEnsure site operations meet and exceed contractual obligationsIdentify opportunities for service improvement and cost efficiencyOperational Excellence Monitor access and maintain security of premisesPatrol areas to detect and prevent incidentsRespond to enquiries and provide site information professionallyOversee security systems and building controlsMaintain situational awareness and communication across the siteLead by example and act as first point of contact for site issuesRespond to alarms and disturbancesInvestigate unauthorised access, antisocial behaviour, and vandalismEscalate critical incidents and liaise with emergency servicesComplete accurate and timely incident reportsProfessionalism & Compliance Represent Wilson Security with integrity and prideFollow site-specific procedures, company policies, and OH&S standardsStay up to date with relevant legislation and regulatory changesPromote best practices and uphold company values at all timesWHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR : Knowledge, Skills & Experience Proven leadership experience with a focus on service improvement and role modellingStrong customer service skills with a proactive and solutions-focused approachExcellent verbal and written communication, including report writing and clear instruction deliveryEffective problem-solving abilities with sound judgment and logical reasoningAdaptable and capable of managing changing environments and responsibilitiesAble to work independently with minimal supervisionStrong literacy, numeracy, and intermediate computer skillsProfessional presentation and conductQualifications Current Security LicenceWilson Security is an employer of choice, engaging with our people both online and in person.
