The Legal Metrology Branch (LMB) administers Australia's legislative and regulatory framework that underpins measurements and measuring instruments used for trade and legal purposes. We provide confidence in measurement across the economy and a level playing field for consumers, businesses, government entities and international trade.
As a section within the LMB, the Programs and Governance Team (P&G) supports the delivery of a diverse range of business enabling activities. These include operational and administrative support, national compliance program research, development and review, corporate reporting, business planning / reporting, and asset management. The team has oversight and accountability for managing the responsibilities associated with safety and corporate risks on behalf of the branch.
Reporting to the Assistant Manager, Programs and Governance, the Team Leader Governance is responsible for managing the support officer team, together with providing operational assistance to the Assistant Manager, Programs & Governance, and contributes to the successful operation and achievements of the Programs & Governance section and the greater Legal Metrology Branch.
They display excellent judgement, possess highly developed relationship building and liaison skills and the capacity to work well with others. They show initiative and have the capacity to work independently to lead projects and deliver outcomes with mínimal guidance.
