What We Can Offer
This position is in our Sydney Rental Branch located at Taren Point. Given we're in Tourism we are a 7-day operation so, you need to be okay with working weekends and public holidays. The good news is, you get great penalty rates for this, and we also have an attractive commission structure for ancillary sales.
Role and Responsibilities
As the Workshop Supervisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our motorhome / campervan fleet. Your key responsibilities will include :
- Workshop Management
- Oversee the daily operations of the workshop.
- Manage and supervise a team of technicians.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintenance standards.
- Fleet Maintenance
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance checks on the motorhome fleet to ensure safety and reliability.
- Coordinate repairs and maintenance schedules, both routine and unexpected, to minimize downtime and maximize fleet availability.
- Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to source quality parts and materials.
- Quality Assurance
- Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure the highest standards of service delivery.
- Monitor customer feedback and address any issues or concerns related to motorhome performance or maintenance promptly.
- Inventory Management
- Manage inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment, ensuring availability and proper utilization.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, perform stocktaking, and coordinate replenishment as needed.
Skills and Qualifications
Previous experience as a Workshop Supervisor or in a similar leadership role within the automotive or rental industry.Strong technical knowledge of motorhomes or RVs, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.Proven experience in managing a team of technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance management.Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.Knowledge of safety regulations and maintenance standards relevant to motorhome operations.Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members, suppliers, and customers.We walk the talk when it comes to ensuring our product quality meets our guests' expectations so training will be provided.
