Chandler Macleod, in collaboration with Santos, is currently seeking an experienced Offshore Materials & Logistics Coordinator to join the Santos drilling team. The primary objective of this position, under the general direction of the Wellsite Supervisor is to provides onsite supervision and management for the logistics and materials of Santos, drilling contractor and service company equipment and personal required to drill, complete and Workover projects in a safe, environmentally acceptable and effective manner while adhering to all Company policies, guidelines, rules and directives and all governmental regulations.
- Core Accountabilities
- Coordinate movement of material, equipment and personnel utilised in field operations with Wellsite Supervisor and shore based logistic personal
- Maintain inventory control and track consumption for each well using Company approved software solution (SAP, WELS, or similar)
- Provides detailed manifesting with all equipment and materials departing from the rig to Barge Engineer, rig deck crews, vessels and Onshore Logistics
- Critical to preventing rig NPT through careful co-ordination, planning and checking of materials and equipment deliver to the wellsite
- Ensure compliance with all Santos and government regulatory requirements relevant to movement of equipment from the wellsite back to shore base (e.g. DG Paperwork, customs, biosecurity, etc)
- Performs daily stock checks on consumables and relates any foreseen issue to Wellsite Supervisor
- Together with Wellsite Supervisor maintain and distribute operational look ahead
- Maintains current inventory control and consumptions for each well
- Participates in pre-tour meetings to inform of upcoming logistics requirements with vessels and helicopters
- Communicates and coordinates with Wellsite Supervisor, Engineer and Onshore Logistics on any revisions to project plans or operations changes
- Provides detailed manifesting with all equipment and materials departing from the rig to Barge Engineer, rig deck crews, vessels and Onshore Logistics
- Manages flight coordination required for Santos and 3rd party personal movements. Liaise with contractor on their flight movements and ensures they are compliant to Santos system
- Actively participates in the rig's safety processes
- Load out request as required from BOM or equipment list for equipment and material movements to and from shore base in a timely manner to prevent delays in operations
- Manages vessel movements to optimise rig operations and vessel optimization
- Monitors project operational performance against established goals and objectives. Identifies and recommends / executes on opportunities for continuous improvement
- Maintain good communication with Wellsite Supervisor and office staff on progress / problems related to daily field operations
- Conducts daily inspections, formal and informal, of decks, equipment, and logistics operations (lifting, bulks transfers, etc)
- Communicates and coordinates logistics SIMOPs with other relevant Santos assets
- Manages drilling contractor crew changes to ensure the helicopter flights are optimised to minimise additional expenses
- Manages all bulks, liquid or dry on the rig and all vessels to ensure quantities are sufficient to support operations
- Monitors weather report conditions to optimise operations and minimize any weather-related issues due to improper planning
- This assignment is initially offered for 12 months, engaged via Chandler Macleod.
- Location for this assignment is FIFO ex Perth, working on a 21 / 21 roster.
- About You
- Have extensive relevant drilling and completions experience in offshore logistics capacity; or an equivalent combination of education and / or relevant experience
- Have excellent teamwork and communication skills
