Job descriptionHow You Will Make a Difference Assist clients in meeting their independent living skills and capacity building needs Supporting clients with developing their communication and social skills Lead by example, provide guidance and assistance in domestic duties including meal preparation and light household cleaning Record participants achievements, requirements and reinforce positive behaviours. Understanding trauma informed practices and implementing Behaviour Support Plans. Actively participate in staff meetings and training. Selection Criteria Experience working with clients with intellectual or mental health disabilities. Experience working with challenging behaviours. Ability to work with and mentor clients. Ability to follow direction and work autonomously, both independently and as a team. Be strategic in your thinking about how to improve your service and contribute to changes that positively affect the client you're supporting. Current Driver's license, own vehicle with comprehensive insurance Valid Working with Children Check Certificate III in Disability and related training and / or qualifications will be highly regard.
