Shutdown TA

We are currently seeking experienced Trades Assistants for a number of upcoming shutdowns, with the next shutdown scheduled from the 19th to the 26th of July. Successful candidates will join a highly professional team of Boilermakers and Fitters, assisting with a range of TA duties on crushers and sizers. Ideally, you will have worked in a similar role and be familiar with the requirements of supporting engineering trades on-site.

To be considered, you must hold a valid Rio Tinto induction, Fire Attack qualification, Confined Space ticket, and Working at Heights ticket. With shutdowns ranging from 5 to 10 days, high-performing Trades Assistants will be offered ongoing shutdown opportunities throughout the rest of the year.

Key Responsibilities :

• Assisting the fitters and welders as required in setup and cleanup.
• Strip, clean, and assess parts / components.
• General assembly of parts / mechanical.
• Basic use of hand / power tools as required.
• Fire watch.
• Housekeeping.
