- The Role
The primary role of the Kitchen Hand is to assist the Head Chef in preparing 5 meals a day for up to 98 children and be inin the day-to-day operation of the centre's kitchen.
Full time 5 days Part-time approx 5 hours per dayDuties will include :
Cleaning duties across the centre & kitchen as requested by the Head ChefUppack deliveriesEnsure that all food is stored, prepared and served in a safe & hygienic environmentKnife skillsAssisting in preparation and cooking nutritional meals (qualification dependent)Essential CriteriaCertificate in Safe Food Handling (preferable)May be working towards a hospitality or cookery qualificationWorking with Children CheckThe ability to work at a fast pace to keep a busy kitchen movingExcellent communication skillsPrevious experience working as a Kitchen Hand in a large commercial kitchen is highly regardedWhat matters most to us is your great attitude, your willingness to learn and be part of a fantastic team.
