- About the role
The Asset Manager will be accountable for the implementation and improvement of the Asset Management System including strategies, maintenance, and inspection programs.
This role is also responsible for leading the Network Asset Management Team in planning, scheduling, monitoring, controlling activities, and coordinating the delivery of Maintenance and Project works.
- What you'll be doing
Key responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to :
- Lead and drive the development, implementation, management, and continuous improvement of the Asset Management strategies and plans
- Ensure all maintenance programs are up to date to comply with changes to legislation Australian Standards, Guidelines, Policy, and changes to the contractual requirements / agreement with the client
- Review the existing or develop new maintenance programs for various types of assets with reference to the Code of Maintenance Standard (CoMS), site and contractual requirements, and agreement with the client
- Contribute to the delivery of asset management and reliability solutions to the client in line with ISO5500 principles
- Ensure deed maintenance obligations are fulfilled through compliance with the Code of Maintenance Standards (CoMS), contractual requirements, and agreements with the client
- Lead the development, review, and optimisation of the Annual Maintenance Plans
- Oversee and report the overall condition and performance of all assets across the network, develop and suggest rectification plans and assist with the implementation
- Oversee and ensure the efficient operations of the Asset Information Management System (Maximo AIMS)

- About you
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering or construction-related discipline
- Strong knowledge and experience of Asset Management and Maintenance principles and standards
- Familiar with ISO5500
- Familiar with Australian Standards and Transport for NSW standards
- Previous exposure to road maintenance or construction activities is an advantage
- Experience in managing and mentoring people with different backgrounds and expertise
- With stakeholder relationship management skills and experience - dealing with clients and subcontractors
- Ability to work occasional night shifts to support the team
- Strong communication skills across all levels of the business
- Strong time management and organisational skills
