As the steward for digitally enabling Australia’s health system, the Agency plays a key role in coordinating national engagement, delivery, and adoption of digital health to facilitate person-centred, connected healthcare. Our responsibilities span national digital health services and systems, including My Health Record, Electronic Prescriptions, and the MyHealth App.

About the Role

Join our Technology Services Division, the heart of digital health innovation. We’re entrusted with the operation and enhancement of a reliable, secure national digital health infrastructure and health support systems.

The Asset Manager oversees the entire lifecycle of IT assets, ensuring their efficient use and compliance with Agency policies. This includes maintaining accurate inventory records, conducting regular stocktakes, audits and developing and maintaining process documentation. The role involves managing the procurement of new IT assets and disposing of obsolete equipment in an environmentally responsible manner.

What You’ll Bring

• Experience developing, implementing and maintaining asset management strategies. Managing the lifecycle of all IT assets. Keeping an accurate inventory of hardware and software assets, including purchases, licenses and contracts.
• Ensuring compliance. Making sure IT assets comply with company policies and licensing regulations.
• Coordinating with teams across the Brand and Agency. Working with IT teams to forecast budgets and identify potential IT asset purchases. Auditing and reporting.
• Regularly auditing, analysing, and reporting on the cost, performance, and value of IT assets.
• Minimal 2 years’ experience as an Asset Manager.
• Experience using ServiceNow.
• A deep understanding of IT infrastructure and lifecycle management.
• Ability to obtain and maintain national police check.
• Australian Citizenship is a condition of eligibility.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Neg Vet 1 security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a higher clearance if required by the Agency.

Additional Information

Order of Merit : Applicants rated as suitable will be placed in a merit pool that may be used to fill similar ongoing or non-ongoing positions throughout the Agency for up to 18 months.

Salary : This role offers between $98,045 - $110,612 plus 15.4% superannuation depending on skills and experience.
