We're seeking a self-motivated and enthusiastic individual for a temporary, 14-Month position within Recreation Development to provide, encourage and develop opportunities for the community to participate in activities that will assist in maintaining, improving, and energising their lifestyle.
As our next Recreation Development Officer, you will be responsible for;Developing & maintaining partnerships and collaborations with sports clubs, physical activity groups and organisations to provide physical activity opportunities for the whole community.Providing support in the approvals, development, implementation and execution of programs, events, projects or initiatives.Providing support on specific business processes / knowledge management issues to the sports clubs, physical activity groups and organisations.Analysing current and projected (with justification) player memberships details and assess them against the state and national participation trends, benchmark data.Identifying and completing submissions for external funding opportunities for the development and implementation of projects.Attending network meetings and represent the city at relevant forums as required.To be successful in this role, you will have;Tertiary qualification in Sport & Recreation Management or equivalentExperience in the delivery of substantial community programmes and projects related to physical activity participation and club development.Experience in networking and developing relationships with diverse community groups.Experience in grant administration and knowledge of external funding sources.Knowledge of sport and recreation industry trends.Knowledge of budgeting principles.Knowledge of marketing principles.Elevate your work experience with the City of Melville's benefits!Ignite your professional growth with our structured professional development and study assistance programs.Say goodbye to expensive gym memberships!
