The Library is seeking to fill an ongoing

Assistant Director, Environmental Sustainability EL1

role in the Facilities and Security Section of the Property and Sustainability Branch.

As the Assistant Director Environmental Sustainability you will be required to undertake work that is complex in nature and be able to work under general direction, and will be responsible for :

Coordination of the Library response and reporting obligations under the Commonwealth Climate Disclosure policy, working with colleagues across all Library branches to provide assurance to the Library Accountable Authority.

Oversight and management of the delivery of the Library's emissions reduction plan and Environmental Action Plan to meet the Australian Government's Commonwealth Climate Disclosure Policy and APS Net Zero by 2030 targets, and associated guidance.

Management, monitoring and reporting on environmental sustainability at Library owned Parkes and Hume facilities through delivery of the emissions reduction plan and Environmental Action Plan.

Develop, manage and maintain a range of internal and external stakeholder relationships and internal and external networks.

Qualifications and / or experience in environmental sustainability

Project management experience in managing environmental projects in buildings.

The ability to gain and maintain a Baseline security clearance.
