You will be primarily responsible for management of freight coordination from port to port in conjunction with Move Management Teams for Australia & New Zealand. Our vision is to upskill Allied talent across all forms of freight movement, primarily this role will be replacing a Non Guaranteed Service (NGS).
In addition, you will maintain the day-to-day management of freight forwarding requirements including coordination, negotiation & pricing for adhoc & Request For Proposal (RFP) consignments, managing documentation with shipping lines and destination agents as well as custom clearance of freight.
1. Supply of freight costings for AU & NZ consignments for adhoc and RFP opportunities.
2. Freight negotiations and purchasing as part of the shipping coordination process - NGS focussed
3. Organisation and consolidation of the groupage product to maximise the capacity loading and growth to all existing groupage destination countries.
4. Assist with the growth and expansion of the Groupage / Baggage product to other destinations.
5. Achievement of targeted savings from estimated freight costs to actual costs.
6. Placement of freight bookings with preferred suppliers.
7. Management of freight coordination from port to port in conjunction with Move Management Teams for Australia & New Zealand.
8. Reconciliation and payment of freight invoices in conjunction with Finance.
Who are we looking for?
1. Freight forwarding experience is highly desirable, groupage focussed advantageous
