Position OverviewThe role performs vulnerability management tasks, creates reports, generates security awareness products, and monitors and contextualises open-source cyber threat intelligence.
In addition, the role has input into security policies, procedures, and awareness programs, as well as identifying areas for security improvement.
- Duties
- Monitor alerts generated by security tools and take appropriate actions.
- Manage and maintain security tools, including the creation of reports.
- Develop relevant security awareness briefs based on open-source intelligence and other information sources.
- Identify areas for security improvement, especially in relation to the PSPF and E8.
- Respond to requests for information and provide security advice based on policy, standards, and security best practice.
- Qualifications and experience
- Industry qualifications and certifications in cyber security and / or ICT would be beneficial.
- Previous Australian Government experience, especially in ICT and / or cyber security would be beneficial.
- Experience with cloud services, and security tools would be beneficial.
