Aps 4 - Cyber Security Officer

The role performs vulnerability management tasks, creates reports, generates security awareness products, and monitors and contextualises open-source cyber threat intelligence.

In addition, the role has input into security policies, procedures, and awareness programs, as well as identifying areas for security improvement.

• Duties
• Monitor alerts generated by security tools and take appropriate actions.
• Manage and maintain security tools, including the creation of reports.
• Develop relevant security awareness briefs based on open-source intelligence and other information sources.
• Identify areas for security improvement, especially in relation to the PSPF and E8.
• Respond to requests for information and provide security advice based on policy, standards, and security best practice.
• Qualifications and experience
• Industry qualifications and certifications in cyber security and / or ICT would be beneficial.
• Previous Australian Government experience, especially in ICT and / or cyber security would be beneficial.
• Experience with cloud services, and security tools would be beneficial.
