Maintenance Engineer with experience in mobile fleet - ideally autonomous required for an initial 6 month contract, on a 5 : 2, 4 : 3 DIDO roster. This client side role is working with a leading gold producer.

Initial 6 month contract with view to extension
5 days on, 2 days off- 4 days on, 3 days off DIDO roster
9 hour days onsite & competitive hourly rate

Qualifications & Skills

Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Maintenance Engineering, or a related discipline.

Minimum 3 years' experience working with mobile mining fleet, ideally with exposure to autonomous operations.

Demonstrated familiarity with the following equipment will be highly regarded :

994 / 995 Wheel Loaders

18M / 24M Graders

785 Base Trucks (Water Carts)

395 Excavators with Rock Breakers

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent safety attitude

Duties & Responsibilities

Provide technical support and engineering expertise to improve fleet reliability and maintenance practices.

Assist with the development and optimisation of preventative and predictive maintenance strategies.

Monitor fleet performance, analyse breakdown trends, and recommend corrective actions.

Support the integration and operational performance of autonomous mobile equipment (AMT).

Collaborate with maintenance, planning, and operational teams to maximise equipment availability and utilisation.

Contribute to root cause analysis (RCA) investigations and continuous improvement initiatives.

Ensure all work complies with site safety standards, environmental regulations, and contractual obligations.
