- How will I help?
You will provide a service to the WBC and SGB Networks (Consumer, Business, Commercial and Call Centres) around the pricing of Consumer and Business Deposits to :
Maximise income earned in the Deposit portfolio's while minimising the loss of customer accounts and balances to competitors. This will require skills cross various disciplines including a high degree of problem-solving ability, decisiveness, assertiveness and commercial awarenessTo control the level of pricing discounting the bank is prepared to forego based on the pricing discretion levels set by Product Pricing Committee and Pricing optimisation teamYou will also be responsible for :
Answering telephone calls from the Network (Consumer, Business, Commercial and Call Centres) requesting discretionary interest rates on DepositsProvide "Market Intelligence" to Sales Staff when requesting an increase in Deposit ratesProvide to the Sales Staff the options that are available regarding retention and acquisition of accounts such as longer terms for better rates, looking at weekly specials and understanding the financial outcomes (ie : margin compression)Establishing "How much" of an increase in Deposit rates is required in any given situation to win / retain a deal - considering margins, current yield curve conditions and potential costsMystery shopping competitors' rates and understanding where the market is for specific dealsWhat's in it for you?We're going through significant change, and this is an opportunity to work closely with our business through the next phase of transformation.
