Western Private Hospital (WPH), is a boutique private hospital servicing the West of Melbourne with the provision of acute services, which has 62 inpatient beds.
WPH's facilities include four Operating Theatres, CSSD, Day Stay Unit, Day Oncology Unit, Eleanor Overnight Ward for CCU, HDU & Surgical patients, Cardiac Catheter Laboratory, Specialist Consulting Suites, Nuclear Medicine Department and supported by pathology, pharmacy, radiology and radiation therapy services.
About the Role
The role is responsible for providing reception and administrative support to the Nuclear Medicine / PET Centre team to provide excellent patient care and oncology imaging services to Western Victoria.
You are the first point of contact at the PET Centre, responsible for
providing exceptional customer service to referrers
ensuring all patient information is up-to-date and accurately recorded
billing patient accounts and submitting online claims to Medicare
report distribution and liaising with other imaging / pathology providers to source outside reports
with training) handling referrals and scheduling bookings
This is a permanent part-time position working between 3 to 5 days a week as part of a job sharing arrangement across Monday to Friday with working hours ranging between 8am-6pm. Some weeks may be more days as required during increased activity and to cover leave.
In this dynamic role you will also be required to fulfil other appropriate administrative or secretarial type duties to support clinical staff within the Department, including the PET Centre Manager, Nuclear Medicine Technologists and Nurses.

Selection Criteria

Willingness and ability to learn and complete new tasks and the flexibility to embrace changes
Sound knowledge of medical terminology (or enthusiasm to learn)
Excellent time management skills & the ability to prioritise workload under pressure
High level professional, efficient and effective communication and interpersonal skills
Medical software experience, including proficiency with patient management systems such as WebPAS and Genie, as well as a Radiology Information System (RIS) such as Karisma, Promedicus, CRIS or other similar systems is highly desirable
