St Clare's Primary School is seeking a classroom teacher who is passionate and willing to work collaboratively in an open learning environment with a team of dedicated and innovative teachers. Commencement is for the start of Term 3, however a negotiated starting time can occur. Experienced or graduate teachers are welcome to apply for this highly supported team teaching position.
Successful applicants will have the opportunity to participate in and experience :
Implementation of the MACS Flourishing Learners Vision For Instruction & Engagement Weekly Professional Learning Communities (PLC) supported by curriculum leaders Opportunities for external Professional Development such as Little Learners Love Literacy (P-2) or PhOrMeS (3-6) Facilitated planning on a weekly basis (A full time teacher receives one full day of planning a week - Part time staff receive a sliding scale of this approach) Participate in Instructional Coaching and be assigned a Coach to support individual professional development Support the schools implementation of evidence based practices such as the Science of Reading and Explicit Direct Instruction

willingness to collaborate, support and contribute to the building of a professional learning culture commitment to working with students from diverse cultural backgrounds ability to plan and implement engaging learning experiences based on current learning and evidence based teaching practices commitment to Catholic education willingness to build strong partnerships and links between our families and school ability to adhere to St Clare's Child Safety Policy and Code of Conduct and other policies relevant to Ministerial Order 1359 current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching with an up to date Criminal Record check an ability to develop and maintain respectful and caring relationships with students, families and colleagues an understanding and demonstrated use of evidence based best practice a capacity to use data to make informed decisions about learning and teaching accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic School is desirable
