We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Head of Strategy to join our Strategy and Corporate Development team in Sydney CBD, Melbourne Southbank or Brisbane CBD office on a permanent full-time basis.
Reporting to the General Manager Strategy, you will play a critical role in setting and shaping APA’s corporate strategy, leading enterprise-wide strategic planning and high-impact initiatives that guide the direction of the business.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development and end-to-end delivery of enterprise-level strategy initiatives, from concept through to execution, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities
Own and drive the planning, design, and facilitation of the annual Board Strategy Day and Board Strategy Deep Dives, shaping high-impact strategic discussions at the executive and board level
Lead and maintain the Enterprise Strategic Roadmap, ensuring organisational readiness and alignment to successfully execute strategic priorities
Translate complex strategic insights and decisions into clear, compelling narratives that engage and align internal stakeholders across all levels of the organisation
Oversee the integration of strategic outcomes and messaging into key external-facing materials, including the Annual Report and broader corporate communications
About You
Proven experience leading enterprise-wide strategy development and execution within complex, capital-intensive organisations
Strong commercial and analytical acumen, with the ability to translate insights into actionable strategic initiatives
Outstanding stakeholder management skills, with a track record of driving alignment across business units and influencing senior executives
Ability to operate autonomously, deliver to executive-level expectations, and act as a trusted advisor to the GM Strategy and ELT
Expertise in designing and delivering high-quality, compelling strategy presentations and materials for Board and ELT engagements
A reputation for thought leadership, strategic clarity, and timely execution of high-impact strategic priorities
