As a Program Scheduler, you will play a crucial role in managing and coordinating the scheduling of various projects and initiatives within our organization. Your primary responsibility will be to create and maintain comprehensive program schedules, ensuring that project activities are aligned with business objectives and delivered on time. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational and communication skills, as well as a strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
This is an excellent opportunity with an experienced PMO Analyst / scheduler with scheduling expertise to work on a large, highly critical program of work.
Responsibilities :
- Develop and maintain detailed program schedules, incorporating activities, tasks, dependencies, and milestones for multiple projects within the bank.
- Collaborate with project managers, stakeholders, and team members to gather project requirements and establish project timelines.
- Create and manage project calendars, ensuring that key activities are accurately reflected and updated regularly.
- Monitor project progress and identify potential scheduling conflicts or issues, proactively communicating and recommending solutions to stakeholders.
- Conduct regular schedule reviews and analysis to ensure adherence to timelines and identify areas for improvement or optimization.
- Coordinate with project teams to ensure timely delivery of project deliverables and resolve any scheduling conflicts or resource constraints.
- Provide guidance and support to project managers and teams on scheduling best practices and methodologies.
- Communicate program status, including schedule updates and potential risks, to stakeholders and senior management.
- Assist in the development and implementation of scheduling standards, policies, and procedures to enhance program management practices.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in scheduling techniques, recommending innovative approaches to improve program efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements :
- Proven experience in program scheduling, project management, or a similar role within the banking or financial industry. At least 6-8 years of experience.
- Solid understanding of project management methodologies, scheduling tools, and techniques.
- Ability to write end to end schedule.
- Experience in using scheduling software such as Microsoft Project (A MUST), Primavera, or similar tools.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders and teams at various levels.
- Detail-oriented mindset, ensuring accuracy and completeness in all scheduling activities.
- Problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities to identify issues and propose effective solutions.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Professional certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) are advantageous.
