Sydney Day Surgery - Prince Alfred (SDS-PA) is a private day hospital close to Sydney's CBD. The facility, which comprises three operating theatres, offers a broad range of surgical services for all patients. Surgical specialties include Oral-Maxillofacial, Dental, ENT, Plastic & Reconstructive, Gastroenterology, Gynaecology, and General Surgery. Sydney Day Surgery - Prince Alfred is a member of Cura Day Hospitals Group.
We are seeking a receptionist on a Full-time basis.
The facility is located close to public transportation with reasonably priced early bird parking or street parking available.
- Responsibilities include but are not limited to
- Performing opening / closing duties of the day surgery unit
- Maintaining positive interactions with patients, carers, VMOs and specialist rooms
- Liaising with Private Health Funds regarding patient eligibility
- Processing payments via EFTPOS and handling billing information
- Accurate and timely preparation of theatre list and patient medical charts
- Admission / Discharge of patients through SIMDAY Software
- Ordering of general office supplies
- Maintaining a professional appearance and demeanour
- Medical record management to ensure legislative requirements are met
- Experience and Key Skills Required
- Medical Terminology certificate would be highly regarded
- Typing speed of 40-50 words per minute
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite
- Outstanding attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organisation and time management skills
- The ability to take initiative, work independently and efficiently
- High level of interpersonal skills
- Flexibility and adaptability to handle anything that comes your way.
- Ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Experience in SIMDAY preferable, but not necessary
- Available to work shifts between 06 : 30am and 6 : 00pm Mon-Fri.
- A high regard for confidentiality of information
- Working with Children Certificate or ability to gain same
