Senior Design Manager – Engineering Delivery Location : Adelaide, SA

The Design Manager will act as the Primary Engineering Representative and a multi-disciplinary design leader, overseeing technical teams to deliver consistent, value-for-money, accurate and timely technical information and outputs.
The role emphasises leadership presence, driving minimum viable solutions using lean principles and challenging stakeholders, including subject matter experts within Engineering, to achieve optimal delivery and efficiency.
Key ResponsibilitiesChampion safety-first practices across all stages of design and project deliveryLead and coordinate multi-disciplinary technical teams and manage design workflowsOversee quality assurance and ensure alignment with industry standards and best practicesDevelop project scopes, work breakdown structures, and cost estimatesCommunicate technical risks, timelines, and cost implications clearly to stakeholdersBuild strong relationships with clients, engineers, and project partnersFoster collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and a continuous improvement cultureSupport the integration of innovative tools, templates, and emerging technologies.What You'll BringA recognised engineering qualification (e.g. B.Eng) in a relevant disciplineExperience leading design delivery in complex, multi-disciplinary environmentsStrategic and analytical thinking with a focus on solving technical challengesStrong leadership presence with proven ability to guide and engage teamsExceptional stakeholder management and communication skillsA track record of delivering clear, concise reports and technical documentationAbility to innovate and drive process improvement in design and deliveryProject management or business qualifications (or equivalent experience) – desirableExperience in design audits and infrastructure standards – desirable Special conditions To ensure your safety in performing the inherent requirements of the role, you will be required to undergo initial and subsequent medical clearances in addition to some immunisations as relevant to your position including but not limited to : COVID-19, Hepatitis A / B, and / or Q Fever.You may be required to undergo initial and / or subsequent clearance checks to ensure your ongoing suitability for the role.
