Two temporary full-time AO6 Senior Policy Officer positions are available in Governance, Strategy and Planning, Strategy and Performance Branch.
One role will be responsible for maturing departmental approaches to human rights and customer complaints management to support schools, regions and divisions. This includes : developing better practice approaches to complaints management; capability and resource development; analysis and reporting; and stakeholder engagement.
The other role will play a lead role in monitoring, evaluating and reporting of strategies, policies, programs and projects. This involves : engaging and supporting departmental staff in reporting and evaluation processes, quality assuring data and project updates, preparing briefs and reports, and working with system developers on system enhancements.

Two exciting roles are available across two teams with the following focuses :
Role 1 : Maturing departmental approaches to human rights and customer complaints management : Support development of good practice complaints management approaches; Support development of tailored complaints and human rights resources and training to build capability in frontline and corporate areas; Improve data quality and reporting; Collaborate with other business areas to drive continuous improvement in complaints management and reporting. Role 2 : Monitoring, evaluating and reporting of Queensland education strategies, policies, programs and projects, including the quarterly reports on the Queensland Education Strategy : Engage, collaborate and provide guidance and technical support to stakeholders across the department on the reporting system; Conduct quality assurance and analysis of project updates, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and alignment with departmental objectives; Prepare briefs and reports for high-level governance groups and senior executives; Drive continuous improvement of internal reporting processes and systems, identifying efficiencies, streamlining workflows. About You We are looking for a Senior Policy Officer who has the following attributes :
The ability to research and analyse issues, communicate complex information in clear and user-friendly products, and make informed recommendations; Excellent stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills and a commitment to customer service; High level writing and communication skills; Excellent attention to detail, organisation, and coordination skills; Ability to manage competing priorities and ensure quick turnaround times.
