• Disability Support Worker in South East Queensland
• from diverse backgrounds who can join our growing team to support our clients' individual needs in Community Participation and In-Home Care.
• About the Role

As a Support Worker you will need to demonstrate the following :

Ø Providing companionship, friendship and emotional support

Ø Assisting clients in

• Community Participation
• by running shopping errands, medical appointments, other therapy sessions etc.

Ø Assisting clients with their

• Domestic
• and household tasks such as cooking, cleaning, vacuuming etc.

Ø Assisting clients with their daily

• Personal Care
• tasks as and when required.

Ø Ability to understand the vulnerabilities and the needs of people with disability and the challenges faced by their families.

• ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

1. Must have your own ABN with Public Liability and Professional Indemnity Insurance

2. Must own a Car with current Queensland Driver's License and Comprehensive Insurance.

3. You must be reliable, with high integrity and have a responsible attitude towards work and able to commit to your regular hours

4. Evidence of eligibility to work within Australia

5. You must have and / or willing to obtain Australian Police Check

6. Current Working With Children Check - WWCC

7. Current First Aid Certificate and CPR

8. Hold Certificate or currently studying Certificate III / IV in Disability / or in Ageing Support / Cert III individual support and have a good understanding of caring for people with disabilities.
