Reporting to the General Manager - Fleet Operations and a part of the Senior Leadership Team, The Regional Workshop Manager plays a pivotal role in delivering top tier maintenance services to the business that uphold the highest safety and quality standards and deliver. You will drive efficiencies through strong productivity, accuracy of record capture and implementation of strategic initiatives. This role will contribute to the delivery of The Fleet Operations targets of agreed service levels, at the lowest cost.
In this role you will lead dynamic and diverse workshop teams whilst ensuring the focus areas and activities of the business are holistically carried out in line with Group strategy. You will champion the values of the organization and create an environment where safety, people, customers and continuous improvement are at the forefront.

What You'll doOversee daily operations of 3 x workshops and mobile servicing across the region to ensure safety, efficiency and quality of service.Manage budgets and financial performance, including resource allocation, cost control, inventory management and revenue recovery.Lead and develop workshop teams, ensuring they have the skills and training necessary to meet organizational goals and deliver exceptional results every day.Implement safety protocols and compliance with industry and TGE requirements to maintain a safe working environment.Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure alignment of workshop objectives with overall company goals (opportunities, strategies, cost reduction and performance enhancement)What You'll BringStrong understanding of the Transport Industry and knowledge of regulatory requirements relevant to role.Extensive Experience with Heavy Vehicle Mechanical workshop environments. Extensive experience in frontline leadership rolesStrong computer skills including good working knowledge of Microsoft suite : Excel, SharePoint &TeamsStrong working knowledge and understanding of WHS-related legislative and regulatory requirements (e.g. WHVA, WHS legislation, Chain of Responsibility requirements)Ability to support and troubleshoot diagnostic issues.Strong conflict resolution, performance management, coaching, training and presentation skillsSound understanding of Industrial Relations matters and experience within a unionised environmentStrong communication skills for effective collaboration with teams and stakeholders at all levelsAbout Team Global ExpressWhy TGEWe care about our customers, our people, and our planet.
