About The Role
In this role, you will find that no two days are ever the same. You'll work closely with teams across the organisation to plan and deliver clear, accurate, and engaging communications that help keep our community informed, involved, and connected.
You'll also help respond to media enquiries, support our Executive and Elected Members with messaging, and provide input into community engagement and campaign ideas.
What We're Looking For
You're someone who knows how to ask the right questions and turn complex information into clear, down-to-earth content. You enjoy working with different people, juggling priorities, and using your skills to build trust and connection.
Ideally, You'll Bring
Tertiary qualification in communications, public relations, or marketing or equivalent work experience (2 years minimum)Excellent written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated ability to develop and implement a variety of promotional activities across multiple online and traditional channels.Experience in developing and implementing effective and engaging public relations content across different platforms.Knowledge and experience in community engagement best practice.Outstanding interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with internal and external customers at all levels, including media and suppliers.High attention to detail with demonstrated editing and proofreading skills.High level of computer literacy, including experience in using marketing analytics tools, social media monitoring. Knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite is desirable.Current satisfactory National Police Clearance.Current WA "C" Class driver's license.
