Bechtel is providing project and contract management services to customers in Western Australia to support exciting capital works programmes, including in energy infrastructure. We are looking for people to join us to deliver these services in and around Perth where we are working within an integrated team with our customer.

Job Summary : As Construction Supervisor, you will monitor and organize subcontractor planning, safety, quality, and technical activities on a complex project with multiple stakeholders' involvement, through the coordination and instruction of subcontractor's management staff.

Your field supervision will help ensure operations are planned to coincide with overall established schedules and that work methods are planned and executed safely.

Major Responsibilities : Monitors and directs subcontractor activities, through coordination and instruction of subcontractors' management staff within the area of responsibility.Role supports on large projects of high complexity with multiple stakeholders' involvement.PlanningReviews and monitors subcontractor construction schedules, resource charts, and material and equipment requirements.Reviews and approves where necessary, subcontractor construction methods, schedules, manning charts, and material and equipment requirements.Leads the construction operations impact on external interfaces to ensure they coincide with the overall established schedules.Safety / QualityMonitors installation of materials and equipment to assure conformance with drawings, specifications, vendor, and other requirementsImplements and enforces policies, procedures and related work rules as established by field construction management.TechnicalWorks with Construction Field Engineers, Foremen, and Craft Professionals, in interpreting Engineering design documents, vendor documents, and other technical documentsCoordinates engineering solutions with Subcontractors, and Foremen and Craft Professionals.Coordinates with Design on constructability issues.Education and Experience Requirements : Demonstrated supervision or leading hand experienceRequired Knowledge and Skills : A solid understanding of safety and quality and the risks associated with working around live infrastructure.Experience with overhead transmission line installation, upgrades and operationsExperience with switchgear and switchgear upgradesPrior supervision of large work crews or client-side project supervisionGood communication skills and ability to problem solveWorking Rights in Australia without employer sponsorship are required.
