Trades Assistant

Zig Zag Railway (ZZR) is a well known and much loved tourist railway located near the town of Lithgow in NSW (approximately 90 minutes from western Sydney). We are about to reopen operations, and are seeking a Rollingstock Maintainer to join our small team.

The Trades Assistant is responsible for helping and supporting the Rollingstock Maintainer and Manager by assisting with maintenance of worksites and equipment. The role also assists with break / fix maintenance and activities as required. The role works within systems associated with defect reporting, execution of repairs and ongoing quality assurance of works.

We're looking for someone with previous trades assistant / labouring experience, ideally in a similar environment, and with good mechanical aptitude.

Importantly, we are looking for someone who is a great team player, and is willing and able to take on a variety of work tasks. You'll need to be physically fit, and be able to obtain Working with Children and National Police checks.
