About The Role
As a Maintenance Officer, you'll be the go-to person for all things maintenance. From planned tasks and general maintenance to unexpected repairs, you'll ensure our facilities are in top shape. You'll work closely with our Director of Finance and collaborate with preferred suppliers to keep everything running smoothly, in line with health and safety regulations and Australian Standards. All work carried out by contractors should be within the planned budget and completed in a timely manner.
In this dynamic role, you will undertake all assigned maintenance duties, including general hospital maintenance, both planned and reactive. You will be responsible for managing maintenance contractors and completing compliance and safety audits.
Skills And Experience
To succeed in this part-time role, you will be a positive and effective team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to develop productive relationships with contractors, colleagues, and customers. You should be able to ensure health and safety regulations are adhered to and work is carried out safely and tidily.
You will provide a comprehensive maintenance service that complies with legislative standards, corporate policies, and hospital budgets. Experience with building management systems and IT knowledge, including Microsoft Office, is highly regarded.
You will also demonstrate :
- Maturity in the workplace to get the job done while focusing on health and safety practices.
- The ability to work on your own initiative and identify areas for improvement.
- Preferably hold a trade qualification, which is highly regarded, but not essential if you have previous experience in commercial facility maintenance, preferably in hospitals.
