The successful candidate will work on-site at Brindabella Business Park, Canberra Airport as part of a full-time contract from 14 July to 31 October 2025 .

About the Role : This is a short-term, high-impact contract where you’ll take charge of developing and implementing a Branch Level Risk Management Plan for a Federal Defence Branch. This includes conducting a comprehensive environmental scan, identifying process gaps, and coordinating the first formal Risk Review. Your work will directly influence the success and resilience of critical national programs.
Key Responsibilities :
Engage with ACSB stakeholders to identify and assess current risk processesConduct a detailed environmental scan and gap analysis across branch and divisional levelsDevelop and refine risk management strategies aligned with Defence program goalsIdentify and address existing gaps in risk and compliance processesDefine clear risk escalation procedures and integrate them into the planEstablish a Risk Review forum at the program level to oversee and enhance risk governanceLead the implementation of branch-level risk assessment, monitoring, and reporting systemsProvide strategic guidance for SPO (System Program Office) risk management practicesCollaborate across teams to instill a proactive risk management cultureDeliver a comprehensive Risk Management Plan including outcomes, recommendations, and process frameworksDeliverables Include :
Full Branch Level Risk Management Plan with actionable recommendationsCoordinated first Risk Review session with measurable outcomesDefined process documentation for risk identification, escalation, and reportingStakeholder engagement summary and impact reportOutcomes Expected :
