Job descriptionGovernance and Coordination Procurement and Contract Management Capability Commonwealth, State and Industry Engagement. ABOUT OPPORTUNITY Effectively engaging with a range of internal and external stakeholders and represent Finance at meetings and learning events. Usability review of Commonwealth procurement and contract management templates, guidance, tools and resources. Developing and maintaining project management documentation including communication strategies. Facilitating and organising Community of Practice sessions. Managing and maintaining various external facing information sites (for example Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, webpage), driving daily content engagement with members of the Community of Practice. Supporting the delivery of capability uplift initiatives. Successful applicants will be required to undergo the process to obtain and maintain, or continue to hold the required security clearance level for the role as indicated in the downloadable job pack. All Finance staff are required to have a minimum baseline security clearance prior to commencement. All positions are based in Canberra. - ABOUT THE BRANCH & SECTION
The Future Made in Australia Office (the Office) is responsible for coordinating delivery of the Australian Government's election commitments under the Buy Australian Plan. The Office is driving engagement with Australian businesses and industry groups to maximise opportunities to participate in Australian Government procurement and contracts.
The Office is implementing procurement reform through three streams of activity :
Advertised roles will be within the Procurement and Contract Management Capability stream. This section is tasked with driving capability improvement procurement and contract management across the Australian Public Service.
Applications are strongly encouraged from outside of the Australian Public Service.
The Procurement and Contract Management Capability team in the Future Made in Australia Office is seeking a Project Officer at the APS5 and / or APS6 level for the management of a procurement and contract management community of practice and the review of procurement and contract management guidance material and resources with a view to improve their aptness.
