The Assistant Director Health Safety Environment will work with considerable independence, planning and leading a small team to build and deliver initiatives to improve the group's management of hazards.
This will include maintaining and improving the safety management associated with radiation, plant, electrical, and hazardous chemicals.
The position offers an opportunity to innovate and adapt to emerging risks and put in place enduring solutions including development of policy, processes and implementation tools.
The Directorate of Health Safety Environment is responsible for the delivery of group work health and safety and environment governance, policy and processes; specialist advice and support; assurance; and continuous improvement projects.
They will have an understanding of how to exercise the associated people and financial responsibilities to achieve organisational outcomes.
