- Purpose of role
- The purpose of the Workforce Team Leader is to look after the daily roster and staffing matters for staff (primarily disability support workers). This role will have sole responsibility of ensuring the smooth running of services, by ensuring shifts have been allocated, shift cancellations are addressed and staff compliant matters are escalated to appropriate personnel. The role will also be responsible for identifying staffing shortages, and screening / hiring for new individuals to fill up those gaps._
- Main duties and responsibilities
Core responsibilities include (but not limited to) :
Maintaining all rostering matters including addressing and resolving shift cancellations, open shifts and general rostering;Maintaining a strong understanding of employee experience and geographic location as well as client background and services required, to match an employee with a shift;Rostering in alignment with legislative guidelines (sleepovers, breaks, broken shifts and overtime;Oversee the implementation of overall recruiting strategy;Consult with managers to discover staff requirements and specific job objectives;Write and post job descriptions on online platforms (such as SEEK, Indeed, career websites and tertiary education boards);Update the talent acquisition pipeline at each stage of the recruitment process;Help the hiring team with recruiting methods and interview questions;Contact new employees and prepare onboarding sessionsInforming Care Coordination and HR of staffing needs on a regular basis;Being proactive and analysing potential staffing shortages and taking steps to inform the relevant stakeholders;Establishing and maintaining relationships with all stakeholders including employees and client families, being aware of client needs and preferences and allocating staff accordingly, to meet those needs;Ensuring the smooth running of services;Documenting staffing issues and their status on the Client Services Register;The above list is not exhaustive, and the role may change to meet the overall objectives of the company.
