Our client, a respected and growing organisation within the finance sector, is currently seeking an experienced Accounts & Payroll Officer to join their high-performing Transactional Services Team.
Reporting directly to Finance Team Leader, this role will see you managing the daily banking and payment functions, performing accurate financial reconciliations, and ensuring timely payroll processing for staff across Australia and New Zealand.
Key Responsibilities :
Perform bank reconciliations, manage receipting, and process manual and end-of-month payments Set up vendors, process supplier invoices and staff reimbursements, and maintain credit card systems Manage end-to-end payroll processing for Australia and New Zealand, ensuring compliance with legislation Handle payroll tax, superannuation, government reporting, and respond to payroll-related queries Prepare financial reports, manage GL uploads, and complete monthly and year-end reconciliations Support a safe, compliant, and collaborative workplace while driving process improvements in payroll and accounts
Skills & Experience :
3+ years of professional payroll and accounting experience Proven understanding of payroll legislation Experience with payroll systems and ERP systems Strong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving ability Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to manage multiple tasks with accuracy and efficiency
