Environmental Compliance Officer

Band 7 from $98,566 to $109,148 per annum plus superThe Role The role of the Environmental Compliance Officer involves the development, implementation and management of environmental compliance systems and controls for the City of Ballarat.

This role primarily relates to environmental and planning compliance within the Landfills and Transfer Stations team which includes :

Ballarat Regional Landfill, SmythesdaleClosed Landfills;Gillies Street Transfer Station; andOther Council owned and managed contaminated or potentially contaminated land.Please refer to the position description on City of Ballarat Careers page for full information.

About You You will have :

Relevant work experience in waste management / environmental monitoring programs, rehabilitation plans / environmental industry and / or Local Government is highly desirable.Demonstrated experience in managing teams, contractors, services or sites with high regulatory compliance, data and components.Experience in delivering complex improvement projects.Knowledge and understanding of health and safety issues relevant to work activities and work area.Proficiency in written and verbal communication skills, including experience in preparation of written reports.Demonstrated experience in preparing and managing budgets.A current Australian Driver's License is requiredTo Apply To apply for this position please click on the Apply button and submit your application.
