6 Month Part Time Contract
We're looking for a Football IT Coordinator to support our AFLW program with its technology requirements.
Essendon FC - "The Bombers" - are a professional sporting team in the Australian Football League. This is an incredibly exciting time, celebrating 150 years of history of the Essendon Football Club and beginning a new chapter of our women's football story as we take the field for the first time in the AFLW competition. As home to 5 sporting teams, we run our AFL men's program, VFL women's and men's programs, and a wheelchair football team. But we're more than the game. Not only do we exist to win premierships, we aim to give back to our loyal membership base, and importantly, our community. We understand and take seriously the impact we have on social outcomes and work tirelessly to ensure positive outcomes, from our partnership with The Long Walk, to our indigenous pathway programs. To do this, we have strong commercial partnerships and innovate with non-traditional ventures, such as our Essendon Education Academy and EFC Investment Fund, so that we can deliver world class events, give back to our fans, run community programs and ultimately, strive toward our 17th premiership.
Reporting to the IT Manager - Strategic Projects and Transformation, the Football IT Coordinator will work collaboratively within a multidisciplined team to assist the AFLW program with all its technology requirements. This is a 6 month part-time contract with the opportunity for ongoing work beyond.
As the Football IT Coordinator, you will be responsible for the deployment, maintenance and troubleshooting PC and Mac OS and managing all matchday technology. You will ensue the maintenance and updating of player management systems and deliver IT inductions and support for AFLW staff and players. By supporting the AFLW program, you will help drive football technology to ensure best practices for our playing group.
With a tertiary qualification in IT, you will have excellent knowledge of Microsoft, Mac, and Windows OS system. Your passion for technology will enable you to pick up new programs such as Champion Data and Sportscode. You will have strong attention to detail and be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines and manage your time. You will also have the ability to work flexibly dependant on match fixtures.
