Senior Finance Analyst (Contract – Immediate Start)

Location :  Perth CBD

Type :  12 month contract (subject to agreement) with view to long-term opportunity

Sector :  Oil & Gas / Energy

We are seeking a  Senior Finance Analyst  to join our Finance Team on a contract basis, with the potential to transition into a long-term role. This is an  urgent requirement , with an immediate start preferred.

This position will support both operated and joint venture assets within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. You will play a key role in  month-end close, budgeting and forecasting (WP&B), and management reporting , working closely with key internal stakeholders across operations.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and support month-end close activities for operated assets

Prepare monthly management accounts and variance commentary

Partner with operations and offshore teams to ensure accurate cost allocation and forecasting

Support the WP&B process and reforecasts for operated and JV assets

Prepare cash forecasts and provide analysis on cash movements

Assist with audit queries and internal reporting packs

Contribute to continuous improvement of finance processes and reporting

What We're Looking For

Proven experience in the Oil & Gas sector , particularly across operated and joint venture assets

Strong month-end close and cash forecasting skills

Experience preparing Work Program & Budget (WP&B)

Solid background in management accounting / business partnering (not financial accounting focused)

Strong Excel and ERP system proficiency

Excellent communication skills and a proactive, hands-on approach
