Our client is seeking for an
- APS5 Admin Officer
- to join the Territories Capital and Major Projects (TCMP) Section. The TCMP Section manages and delivers a broad range of complex capital investment projects, procurement of complex service management contracts and the contract management of major service contracts.
- About the Role
The Admin Officer's primary task will be to assist with administrative tasks, project management and contract management services under the guidance of the Contract Manager and Project Director (who reports to the Director of TCMP).
- Responsibilities
- Perform and achieve procedural, operational, administrative and business support work in line with the Divisional and Departmental frameworks and processes;
- Support the Contract Manager and Project Director to prepare and draft briefing in a complex environment liaising with various stakeholders across the Territories.
- Provide administrative assistance to members of TCMP with regards to procurement, contract management, research and communication;
- Processing invoices, work with teams within the Division and Department to progress procurement and budget approvals and assist with setting up a contract management database;
- Liaise with stakeholders on moderately complex to complex policy, project or operational issues responding to stakeholder's needs and expectations;
- Supporting the Contract Manager and Project Director with creation and implementation of new governance arrangements; and
- Other core duties include
- Liaising with staff and senior executive officers across the Branch, the Division, the Department and other Commonwealth agencies as required;
- Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with the broad range of stakeholders, including staff located in Perth, Christmas Island, and the Cocos (Keeling) Islands;
- Providing other ad hoc general administrative duties for and in conjunction with the Contract Manager and Project Director.
- Generally, assist in the work of the section or as directed by management.
- Skills and Experience
- The applicant will be adaptable, strong in their time management and prioritisation skills and be able to get across different operating environments quickly.
- Demonstrated experience in similar roles would be advantageous. Relevant professional qualifications will also be considered.

- Excellent communication skills - written and verbal;
- Energetic, enthusiastic and keen; and

- To be eligible for employment for this role, you must be an Australian citizen. Has a current baseline security clearance.
