Purchasing Officer

We are currently seeking a suitably experienced Purchasing Officer to efficiently manage the end-to-end processing of purchase orders for fast-moving items for this privately owned business. Due to ongoing growth and a solid presence in the marketplace, our client is seeking an experienced Purchasing Officer who is able to multi-task and can think on their feet. Working closely with the operations team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that strict timelines are met.

Being solely responsible for managing all purchasing functions, your duties will include :

• Sourcing of products and product lines
• Process requisitions and create purchase orders for external suppliers
• Organise logistics for goods inwards / outwards and receipting of goods
• Manage stock and inventory levels and customers orders
• Implement cost-saving initiatives
• Communicating with management, suppliers and customers
• Implementing a rolling stock take
• Creation of new stock items

To be successful in this role you would ideally understand technical products and have a strong level of attention to detail. Accuracy is essential along with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
