Based in Perth, an opportunity has been created for a Continuous Improvement Leader (known internally as an Alstom Performance System Leader (APSYS)). This role heads up the strategic transformation and uses key frameworks to lead continuous improvement across the Alstom teams in WA. Alongside colleagues nationally, this role has the chance to change the way we do business and have a tangible impact on the lives of our Alstom people and processes.

• Primary Responsibilities
• Work with the Site Director on strategic transformation, using site SQCD objectives and Alstom Performance system(Continuous improvement) roadmap.
• Support each department in Alstom Performance system deployment by providing on-field expertise on lean & continuous improvement tools.
• Consolidate and report deployment status on a monthly basis to Depot Managers and Alstom Performance system(Continuous improvement) team / ANZ Quality.
• Assist the Operations by reviewing task sequencing, reducing non-added value tasks, developing methods and tools to improve results.
• Support 5S and visual management set up at depot(s) level.
• Map local processes flow chart and identify room for improvement, muda to be addressed.
• Support Quality Teams in Problem Solving approach with proper implementation and tailoring of problem solving methods (QRQC, 8D..)
• Key Requirements
• Tertiary qualification in Engineering.
• Proven experience in leading continuous improvement projects
• Ability to coach the project team and site management
• Use of lean principles (5S, Standard, Gemba, VSM, problem solving, performance and kaizen mindset)
• Ability to develop a network across all sites and have a generally personable, approachable style
