About The Role
The ICT Vendor Manager oversees relationships with technology vendors, ensuring contract fulfillment and performance metrics are met.
This role involves strategic planning, procurement, and execution to optimize vendor performance and mitigate third-party risks.
You'll be part of a supportive team with flexible work options, based in any major Australian city.
Key Responsibilities
Develop vendor management strategies and maintain operational relationships at all levels.
Create and implement procurement strategies for ICT goods and services aligned with organizational goals.
Manage tender processes, including RFI, RFQ, and ITO.
Establish policies, standards, and frameworks for vendor governance and service monitoring.
Lead and evaluate vendor relationships, including contract negotiations, renewals, or terminations.
Handle contract variations responding to business needs.
Monitor vendor performance against SLAs and KPIs, conduct reviews, and provide feedback.
Engage proactively with vendors to resolve operational issues and conflicts.
Implement escalation procedures for issue resolution.
Collaborate with internal teams to align vendor services with business objectives.
Identify cost-saving and process improvement opportunities.
Improve procurement processes and ensure compliance with policies, security, and regulations.
Manage vendor and contract documentation, especially for cloud services.
Encourage innovation and service improvements with vendors.
Develop policies for supplier selection and vendor benchmarking.

Qualifications And Experience
Bachelor's degree in IT, business management, or related field.
At least 5 years experience in vendor management or procurement in an IT environment.
Proven expertise in developing vendor management frameworks and processes.
Strong stakeholder relationship skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
